Bollore acquires two transport companies in Southern Africa
PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Bollore has acquired two transport companies in Southern Africa, Dominique Lafont, head of the French group's logistics division in Africa, told Les Echos.
Bollore has acquired 100 percent of transport broker Sael and 51 percent of White Horse, a road haulage firm that operates between the port of Durban in South Africa and the 'copper belt' of Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to Les Echos, Bollore will pay a total of around $55 million to acquire the two companies, both of which have annual sales of around 50 million euros.
